WE ARE VOLUNTEERS

THE VOLUNTEERS OF THE SPCA OF SAN PAT COUNTY are a group of animal lovers who share a common goal: providing a comfortable temporary home for dogs and cats until they are adopted.  Formed in 2006 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit, we worked hard raising the money to make the Sandra Sue Benson Animal Adoption Center a reality.  The group is open to anyone willing to contribute time and skill toward operating and maintaining this much needed facility for our furry friends, while they wait to be adopted by a loving “furrever” family.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of SPCA San Pat County is to operate the Sandra Sue Benson Animal Adoption Center where individuals and families can choose a forever pet and where animals live in a comfortable temporary setting.  We strive to provide resource information and educational materials to area residents regarding grant availability for spay/neuter, low-cost vaccination clinics, temporary foster care and rescue contact information, just to name a few.

IMPORTANT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
  • Promote humane care and discourage cruelty towards all animals.
  • Influence public opinion with respect to pet health and welfare.
  • Promote the spay and neuter of pets to control overpopulation.
  • Seek suitable homes for dogs and cats in our care.
  • In its care and disposition of animals, the SPCA of San Pat County shall maintain minimum, or exceed, standards prescribed by the State of Texas.
