Volunteer and/or Foster Application
You can get your dog or cat “fix” by volunteering to be a walker, cleaner or just a playmate to our dogs and cats. Maybe you’d like to help at events, or participate in fund raising activities, or help provide a temporary home for an animal or two?
Volunteers are needed 7 days a week, for any period of time you’re available, between 8:30am to close (approximately 4:30pm). The animals need us every day and are happy to see us every day. It doesn’t get much better than that! AM housekeeping starts at 8:30am and takes about 1.5 hours. PM housekeeping starts at 3:00pm and also takes about 1.5 hours.
We welcome interested animal lovers who have the time, patience and passion needed to keep the current in-shelter cats and dogs cozy, comfortable, exercised and nurtured.
Clean dog kennels, cages, sweeping, feeding and cleaning cat rooms: We call this “housekeeping!” Brush, stroke, walk, hug, socialize the animals: We call this “well worth housekeeping!

Fostering helps the center and helps the animal. The number one problem facing most adoption centers today is: too many animals and too few adoptive parent(s). We are frequently full, or almost full.
Fostering gives you the opportunity to help these animals — to get to know them, and to provide them a safe temporary foster home while we continue to seek permanent placement.
If you’re willing and able to foster, or just want to learn more, fill out the application on the top of this page or give us a call.
The following committees need your expertise:
Fundraising – large and small events such as Casino Night and Golf Tournament, Spay/Neuter programs, etc.
